Performance Steam sparged/water ballast vaporizers are designed to meet peeking flows and standby performance in the event of heat source interruption. Tube bundles are sized for a maximum flow at specified pressure and pressure drop. Water ballast size is set by the peaking load at steady stream flow, or the extent of the steam outage. Ballast vaporizers also provide stable vaporization action under rapidly changing gas flows. Standard systems control water bath temperature (170°F typical). Control options can control gas temperature with optional 3-way dilution valve for accurate outlet gas control. Zero to 100% capacity instantaneous step flow provided when kept warm. |
