Thermax Inc. ambient and other
vaporizer styles have been manufactured by its affiliate, FWM Inc. since 1978.
FWM Inc. has been involved in the manufacturing of valves, piping systems, and
heat exchangers for the cryogenic industry for 25 years. FWM also repairs
cryogenic vessels, from small 1 gallon dewars to large trailer trucks. Thermax
established in 1973 offers a full line of standard and custom designed
vaporizers.
FWM in joint ownership with
Thermax expanded and relocated to a new 50,000-sq. ft. (4,645 sq. meters) high
bay facility in 1998. The site is located in the northeast United States on 7
acres (2.83 hectares) of land with over 2 acres (.8 hectares) of paved surface
to store finished inventory. The building is serviced with 6 overhead bridge
cranes with a maximum capacity of 20 tons.
All FWM welders are qualified
to ASME standards. Quality assurance personnel are trained in pneumatic and
hydrostatic testing, helium mass spectrometer leak testing, dye penetrate
testing and LOX cleaning procedures
A separate machine shop located
adjacent to the welding and assembly bays includes not only conventional
equipment but also CNC turning and milling capabilities.
